Bio Sketch Writing

Biographical Sketch : - The students will be asked to attempt a Biographical Sketch in upto 100 words. Some notes will be provided on an individual's life or achievements. Students are expected to expand these notes into a short paragraph.

  • A biographical sketch conveys information about a person's life, achievements, likes/dislikes in a comprehensive manner.
  • A well-written biographical sketch shows a student's skill of organisation of matter as well as language accuracy.

  • Erno Rubik : - Born on July 13, 1944 in Budapest Hungary Erno Rubik is a Hungarian inventor, sculptor and professor of architecture. He is best known for the invention of mechanical puzzles including Rubik's Cube, Rubik's Magic, Rubik's Snake and Rubik's 360.

    Rubik graduated from the Technical University. Budapest in 1967 as an architectural engineer. From 1971 to 1975 he worked as an architect, then became a professor at the Budapest College of Applied Arts.

    In the early 1980s, he become editor of a game and puzzle journal and in 1983 founded the Rubik Studio, where he designed furniture and games.

    An introvert by nature, presently he is working on video game development and architectural topics.
